In May 2013, I participated in a 168 film competition with a group of wonderful young people. The competition is the premiere Christian speed film competition, and took place the last two week of the month. The project took a total of 17 days, the first 10 were devoted just to me scriptwriting, and the last week to filming and post-production. I had never worked on a film set before, and it was quite an honor to be asked to write a script. The final piece is currently being edited for a film festival next year. I will post it as soon as it is finalized. Special thanks to Seth Rice, the director and producer, Nathanael Brunner, Director of Photography and Editor, and Mr. and Mrs. Rice who graciously opened their home up to all of us during the project.
Now that the project is over, I’m back focused on the book, getting as much help as I can from my brother Gerred who is embroiled in his market garden operation, harvesting oats, blackberries, and zucchini, and attempting to mulch the entire space. Needless to say, it is hard to get a hold of his attention. I am wrapping up a 7th draft edit of this book, and I’m very confident with the material we have up to this point, and I think you will be too! It is focused mostly on the beginning grower, but, as a checklist system book, I believe the experienced grower can use it as well.
